Starting and running a business means making decisions—a lot of them.

Where should you open your location? Which supplier is the right fit? Who do you hire? What software do you use? Which insurance policy do you choose? The options are endless—and honestly, it can feel overwhelming.

And what happens when you finally make a decision and it doesn’t work out?

What do you do when things fall through and you don’t get what you wanted?

This is where faith comes in.

Faith Changes the Way You Lead

Incorporating faith into your business journey transforms the experience. It lifts the burden of every decision off your shoulders and reminds you that you’re part of something bigger than just you. For me, God is my CEO, and I trust that He chose me to lead this mission.

When I feel uncertainty creeping in, I pray. I read Scripture. I worship.

It’s how I reset and remind myself that I’m not doing this alone.

Faith might look different for you, depending on your beliefs. Whether you believe in God, a higher power, or simply the unfolding of purpose, the principle is the same: release the illusion of control and trust the journey. Because the truth is, there’s always more going on behind the scenes than we can see.

A Personal Story: The Gym That Almost Was

I’ll never forget when I thought I found the perfect location for my Ninja Gym. I had the lease ready to go, everything lined up—and then the city told me my use wasn’t approved due to zoning. I was devastated. I cried. It had taken me seven months to find that space.

There was another location I had considered, but it was more expensive and the approval process looked harder. Still, I gave it a shot. When I brought it to city hall… it had the same zoning as the first one.

What? How?

Turns out, someone made a mistake on the first location. But was it really a mistake? Or was it divine redirection? I’ll never know for sure, but what I do know is that I’ve now been in this “second choice” location for six years—and it has been absolutely perfect for developing the company. In hindsight, it was exactly where I was supposed to be.

Let Go and Trust

Imagine how much more enjoyable the journey would be if we learned to accept setbacks as redirections.

If we trusted that when doors close, it’s not the end—it’s just a pivot.

Worry doesn’t add an hour to your life. Frustration doesn’t make deals come back.

What helps is faith.

Faith that everything is unfolding in perfect timing.

Faith that you’re exactly where you’re meant to be.

Faith that what’s ahead is better than what’s behind.

We live in a fast-paced world where social media shows nothing but the highlights. The grind, the tears, the rejections—those rarely make the feed. But they’re real. And they’re part of the process.

Be patient.

Have faith.

And trust that God’s plan is unfolding—even when you can’t see it yet.
